Oklacon is hosted at Roman Nose State Park, just north of Watonga, Oklahoma. The easiest way to reach the park is via Interstate 40.
  • From Oklahoma City, travel I-40 West to Exit 108 (US-281 Spur).
  • After about 4 miles, US-281 Spur will intersect US-281; turn right to travel north on US-281.
  • US-281 becomes US-270 after approximately 5 miles, in Geary, OK.
  • Continue traveling north on US-270.
  • US-270 becomes SR-8 in Watonga, OK after 18 miles.
  • After 4 miles, turn left on SR-8A and follow it into Roman Nose State Park.
  • Oklacon is hosted at Group Camp Site #2 (turn left at the stables).
  • Estimated drive time from Oklahoma City is one hour.

  • Accommodations

Oklacon has a variety of accommodation options which can suit everyone's budgets and needs.

    • A-Frames (included with con admission)
A-Frames are large housing structures within a very short walking distance of the main convention site. These structures contain 16 bunk beds, available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The A-Frames open into a large clearing with a communal bathroom shared by all. A single bunk bed is included in the price of registration. Our convention does occur at the end of October, and temperatures can dip to 40 degrees in the evenings. Be sure to bring your own pillows and warm blankets if you plan to set up shop in the A-Frames. Also A-Frame space is limited and expected to fill up fast, so please be sure to register early to guarantee your space.

    • Tents
Want to be a real trooper? Bring your own tent and camping gear to enjoy the great outdoors like it was meant to be. The state park charges a $8 daily tent fee.

    • RV's
Traveling cross-country? Bring your recreational vehicle and enjoy the hookups at the state park and the comforts of your own home away from home. RV sites are a brisk ten minute walk or two minute car ride away from all the action. The state park charges a $8 daily park fee.

To make sure you get a space call Roman Nose State Park at (580) 623-4215 and you can mention you are with Oklacon.

    • Lodge Rooms
Roman Nose State Park features a full-service resort lodge complete with restaurant and gift shop. Located next to the park golf course and a four minute car ride away from the Turkey Roost, lodge rooms provide excellent accommodations to those who really want to be able to get away from it all. Plus this year we will be holding some of our night time events in the lodge, so you can easily find your bed after you've partied yourself out. The cost to reserve a room at the lodge is roughly $63/night.

We only have 20 rooms available, so you have to act fast. To reserve your room call the Roman Nose State Park Lodge at (580) 623-7281 and tell them you are with Oklacon.

    • Private Cabins
Private cabins complete with a double bed, double futon pull-out, and kitchen with refrigerator are now available for reservations. Private cabins are a brisk ten minute walk or two minute car ride away from all the action. Cabin reservations are made directly through Oklacon, not the park. The nightly cost to reserve a cabin is roughly $95/night. There are a limited number of cabins, and we anticipate we will fill every cabin by summer.

Keep checking back, and register now to find out how to get your own cabin.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. May I bring live animals to Oklacon?
Pets are welcome in the park, BUT... Not in the A frames or lodge, however for cabins - there are only 2 cabins that are pet friendly but they are taken, sorry. You can keep your pet with you in your tent or RV if you want. You can also have pets in the Turkey Roost area with you but they can not stay there. Please understand these are the park rules and not Oklacon's.

    2. I'm flying in to Oklacon, but I cannot rent a car to get to the park. How can I attend? Please visit our Communities for the ride share board. Quite a few friendly faces reside in Oklahoma City and will be willing to pick you up from the airport on the way to the convention. Also, if you are looking to ride share with other out-of-state attendees making the drive, please post your interest in the forums.
